Description:

What causes it?
- Moisture (leaks/perspiration)
- Antibiotic therapy (oral / intravenous)
- Chemotherapy
- Diabetes
- Yeast infection somewhere else on the body

Symptoms
- Itching
- Burns when stool touches
- Once the irritation becomes raw and weepy, your pouch just won’t stick

What does it look like?
- Redness under barrier
- Spots outside of the hair follicles
- Satellite lesions
- Raw, weepy
- May have pustules
- May be dry and flakey

Treatment
- Dry the environment
- Antifungal powder
- Change more frequently (every 2-3 days)
- Check behind barrier for leakage
- Skin barrier spray
- Pouch covers / no plastic against skin
- Control diabetes well
